Department of Mathematics

Introduction

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2024 offer Program designed to provide students with advanced knowledge in pure and applied Mathematics. The department focuses on developing analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills that prepare students for careers in academia, research, and various industries. The program emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical applications of Mathematical concepts, equipping students to tackle complex problems in science, technology, and finance.

Vision

To promote a successful and competent person in the competitive world.

Mission

• To encourage our students to prepare for their career development, lifelong learning and professional growth. For acquiring mathematical skills and employability skills. To make students aware of global level technology to explore Mathematical concepts through activities and experimentation.

Objectives

The B.Sc. Mathematics programme is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in pure and applied mathematics enhance analytical and problem solving skills, and prepare them for careers in research, industry, and academia.

• Proficiency in Mathematics and Allied Fields: Students develop a deep understanding of algebra, calculus, differential equations, geometry, and other core branches to achieve competence for placements and further studies .

• Career Development and Research: The programme encourages students to pursue research, further education, and acquire skills relevant to modern industrial and academic demand.

• Analytical and Practical Skills: Students gain the necessary skills for data interpretation, problem-solving, computational applications, and understanding mathematical models for real-world problems . Application and Societal Relevance: Knowledge from the programme is applied to societal issues, industry, and technology, with emphasis on leadership, ethical practices, and socially responsible solutions

Facilities

Infrastructure and Facilities:
The Department is well equipped with the state of the art Modernized Multipurpose Computer Laboratory. The computers in the laboratory as well as Department are provided with 24 x 7 Internet connectivity to make the students and staff stay connected with the recent innovations. The Lecture halls are equipped with LCD, Computers and Smart Board to make presentations more interactive. As an initiative to academia-industry collaboration, the department has executed MoU with ICT for the benefit of students in knowledge acquisition and placement opportunities. A smart classroom is upgraded classroom that enhances the teaching and learning process for both the teachers and the students by inculcating audio, video, animations, images, multimedia etc. It is beneficial for teachers and students since teachers get an entire platform to pick information from and teach instead of just being restricted to a book. Students pay more attention in class and find studying fun. Innovative methods improve the understating of basic concepts, encourage deep and creative learning, and develop teamwork and communication skills.

Faculty:
The Math department will have a diverse faculty consisting of professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and possibly adjunct professors. They specialize in various fields such as algebra, analysis, geometry, applied mathematics, and statistics.

Facilities:
Facilities typically include classrooms equipped with technology for teaching, seminar rooms for smaller group discussions, and possibly specialized computer labs for computational mathematics.

Conferences and Seminars :
Regular seminars, conferences, and workshops are held where faculty, visiting scholars, and students present their research findings or discuss new developments in mathematics.

Conferences and Seminars :
Regular seminars, conferences, and workshops are held where faculty, visiting scholars, and students present their research findings or discuss new developments in mathematics.
