The Department of Fashion Technology and Costume Designing was launched in the academic year 2025. Although the program is both unique and costly, the management has introduced it with the aim of providing opportunities for students from economically weaker sections of society. This department is dedicated to preparing students for dynamic careers in the garment and fashion industry. The curriculum blends creativity with technology, placing strong emphasis on apparel design while also nurturing career growth, industry readiness, and personal aspirations. Our passionate faculty and modern laboratories create an environment where students receive practical, hands-on training. Through this, they gain the ability to conceptualize designs, draft patterns, illustrate, drape, and construct garments. In addition, they acquire expertise in textile processing, merchandising, and fashion marketing.
“My vision as a fashion technologist and costume designer is to seamlessly integrate the timeless elegance of traditional craftsmanship with the possibilities of modern technology—designing garments that not only tell compelling stories on stage and screen, but also drive the future of fashion toward sustainability, inclusivity, and intelligent innovation in everyday life."
